Twisted Sister (First Youtube Video)

So, exciting news everyone: I began a youtube channel! I'm really excited, as I've been keen into making videos for my blog for a really long time. I feel like Youtube is a great platform to get my ideas and inspiration out: it contains content all onto one sphere. So, to begin my youtube channel, I began with a hair tutorial. :) Granted, I'm not amazing at making videos YET, so bare with me through the painful beginning, but I feel like I'm getting better every time I sit down to film!

The tutorial today shows a side twist all around your head. It's absolutely adorable for school or a date (with you just romanticize it some). I've mastered the twist, so it takes me about two minutes while I'm standing at the tram stop in the cold to do this look, and its a great way to add an elegant feel quickly to whatever you are wearing! I hope you enjoy and please like and subscribe. :D

Meet Lita.... Jeffrey Campbell's Lita

denim shirt from fizzen/black and yellow top from urban outfitters/jeans from pull and bear/necklace from h&m/bag bought in Venice/Jeffrey Campbell Litas GIFTED (dfjdksal;fhas;!!!)

Ladies and Gentlemen. Boys and Girls. Tonight, I have a story to tell you. One filled with happiness, joy and laughter.

Well, to cut to the chase, I have the best friends in the whole world, and for my 18th birthday, they bestowed me with the most beautiful of beautiful things:

Jeffrey Campbell Litas

I cried. No shame, no gain.

I will have to examine, however, why I cried: was it the sheer amazing-ness of my friends to basically buy the pair of shoes I've been obsessing over for the last year? If the answer to that is a no (impossible, since that's true), then is it the fact that, as I plunge into adulthood, I desire to be almost a foot taller than the tallest of my friends? That's an obvious no. But I think, in essence, is the fact that I truly now feel like a "fashionista", in whichever sense of the word.

So, everyone, please, meet Lita. She's gonna be around for a while.

Feeling Rosy

In due time it will finally be spring. Honestly, I'm ready for the warm spring days and for the sun to finally peek out from behind the clouds. One thing I know I will be doing this spring is I'm going to be going crazy... for pink. And for all pale and rosy under-toned girls out there: I highly suggest it!

The easiest way to get away with any outfit using practically the same color is to make sure that each color differs by more than just one shade. It keeps you from looking like one big blob of pink. Dark shade on top, light on bottom -- or vice versa: either works, just find the right proportion for your bottom (suggestion, if you are top heavy, wear the dark color on top and the light on bottom -- this way the attention is drawn towards your legs and away from your top. Unless you are hourglass shaped, where either combination works for you, in which case: go away no one likes you).
When it comes to accessories, think about what you will be pairing them next to. If you are wearing lighter bottoms, wear a lighter belt to keep the look refined and not jumpy. If you are wearing a dark color on top and are going to be wearing a longer coat: keep it dark, like the black Anne Klein coat pictured (which is my absolute baby and is actually my only winter coat. But oh well). You could get away with a waist length white or tan jacket ,such as this one from Zara, but nothing longer, or else I personally think you will begin to become a blended mess. When it comes to scarves or bags: have them be a base neutral (to add some variety to your outfit) with hints of your main color. Nice and cohesive.

Anyway, off to go drown in homework. :) Let me know what you think, and I hope to see you soon!!
